Winners of stages I, II and III of the competition are determined separately in each scientific section, based on the sum of points the participants scored for all milestones of the program.
Winners of the competition are the participants who have taken the first, second, and third places in the scientific sections and who are awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees.
The number of award-winning (first, second, and third) places, according to the results of each stage of the competition, usually does not exceed 50 percent of the total number of participants in each scientific section with an approximate distribution of 1: 2: 3. For the distribution of prizes, the jury may use the table of approximate distribution of prizes (Annex 9).
A participant can score a maximum of 100 points for participation in all sections of the competition.
Number of points required to win an award:
85 and more — first place;
80-84 — second place; and
75-79 — third place.
If participants have an equal number of points, the jury determines the winner, taking into account the results of the poster presentation.
Results of stage III of the competition are determined using a factor-criterion model (Annex 10). It is based on a qualimetric approach, i.e. quantitative evaluation of qualitative indicators in points.
The results of the competition are announced on the last day of the corresponding stage during an official ceremony.
If a participant has questions about the results of the competition, they can submit a written application to the secretary of the organizing committee of the relevant stage of the competition after the announcement of results. The chairman of the jury of this scientific section will give a written explanation on the issue of interest to the participant, no later than 30 calendar days.
